ABOUT EQUINOX CARE

Why This Practice Exists

Equinox Care grew out of something I kept noticing both in my work and in my own life.

So many people are genuinely trying to take care of themselves… and still feel overwhelmed, disconnected from their bodies, and unsure who or what to listen to anymore. There’s a lot of advice out there, much of it well-intentioned, and very little space to slow down and figure out what actually fits.

This practice exists to offer a different orientation to care. One that values integration over optimization, listening over fixing, and balance over pressure.

Health, as I understand it, isn’t a destination you arrive at and then cross off a list. It’s an ongoing relationship with your body, your nervous system, your circumstances, and your capacity in any given season.

Equinox Care is a place to tend that relationship thoughtfully.

How I Practice (and a Bit About Me)

I’m Kelly, the practitioner behind Equinox Care.

I’m endlessly curious and a little addicted to learning . Whether that’s going down a rabbit hole about the nervous system, getting far too excited about gardening (fair warning: I will talk about soil health if invited), or diving headfirst into a TV show someone swears is binge-worthy. I’m also a parent, which has been a surprisingly thorough lesson in patience, adaptability, and meeting reality as it is.

That mix of curiosity and lived experience shapes how I practice

Rather than practicing from a single framework or rigid method, I work through attunement. By listening to the body, the nervous system, and the real-life context someone brings into a session. Care here isn’t about applying a technique because it’s my favourite tool; it’s about choosing what makes sense in this moment, with this person, at this pace.

I don’t approach this work as a problem to solve or a person to fix. I approach it as a collaborative process of noticing patterns, supporting regulation, and making space for integration over time.

Sessions are shaped by what’s present, not by a preset plan, and always move at a pace that respects safety, consent, and capacity.

Equinox Care is designed to work alongside, not replace, medical and mental health care. When appropriate, I encourage collaboration with other practitioners and professionals to support safety and continuity.

Clear boundaries and ethical scope are part of how I practice. Always.

Equinox Care reflects how I believe care works best: with presence, integration, humour where it helps, and respect for the whole person.
